We encourage exercise. Not as a metaphor for personal development this time, but quite literally: sports. After a day of hard work, we love offering the chance to unwind, close out the day with a workout and recharge. Padel and squash nights, tennis battles, running sessions and plenty of other sporting challenges. You can expense your own gym membership, and if you take the first step, we'll kit you out at #teamHero with a complete sports outfit.

Your career at Hero starts, together with all new colleagues, with an onboarding: a program packed with information, relaxation and inspiration. We want new colleagues to quickly get a feel for what Hero stands for, our history, how we treat clients and candidates, the culture we have and the challenges we set ourselves. That way, new Hero colleagues are up and running in no time and part of the team.

#TeamHero is called #TeamHero for a reason. We regularly organize outings for individual departments or the whole team. We love to do sports, have lunch, laugh and dine together. And every year there's Hero Day: an inspiring day (including company visits) with a different program each time.

'Work Hard & Play Hard' is one of our 4 core values. 'Work Hard' applies during our opening hours, of course. The 'Play Hard' part mainly happens in our very own game room: a pool table, table tennis table, dartboards, PlayStations, computers and a bar provide relaxation, team building and fun. It's the perfect space to let off some steam after a hard day's work.

The meeting structure we use is the heartbeat of Hero and sets the rhythm of how we work. Daily stand-ups, personal and company-wide weeklies, monthlies, and quarterlies ensure we're always quickly up to speed on everything that's going on.

Alongside our meeting rhythm, we share a lot on our internal platform: HeroToday. This intranet holds plenty of interesting and useful information, news is shared there, and we try to inspire each other with all kinds of tips and recommendations.

Every employee gets the chance to keep developing, in all kinds of ways, including coaching. Hero works with a range of independent coaches. You choose which coach you work with and what the sessions should focus on.

Every month we celebrate Hero of the Month: an honorary title awarded by a colleague for an outstanding achievement, boundless dedication or simply being there when it mattered. A wonderful token of appreciation from a colleague.
