Department Manager Programme Management & Mission Direction

For our client, a public organisation in the Amsterdam region, we are looking for a Department Manager Programme Management & Mission Direction. You will lead a department of approximately 25 programme managers and mission directors. On behalf of the organisation, they act as commissioning party for seven strategic missions, ranging from urbanisation and equal opportunities to sustainability and safety. Over the past year, the department has established a strong position within the organisation, and now the challenge lies in the next step: professionalising craftsmanship and commissioning practice, further shaping portfolio steering, and guiding an important revaluation process in the right direction. This is a genuine management role with business administration depth and a clear change agenda. You will operate at the heart of the organisation, right at the point where political and administrative ambition is turned into tangible results.
