As an AI Developer Trainee, you will be trained within our AI team in Wognum. This is not an entry-level job where you get thrown in at the deep end and then left to fend for yourself. You will contribute to real projects, build AI solutions that move the entire Hero organisation forward, and learn from people who work with the latest tools every day. Claude Code, Cursor, agents, automations. And if something better exists tomorrow, you will be working with that too.

Hero grows by 30 to 40 percent every year. That growth demands intelligent systems and people who build those systems. You are the builder of tomorrow.

• Contributing to AI applications that accelerate Hero's processes, from recruitment to marketing to contracts
• Building AI solutions using modern tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and similar AI-native development environments
• Setting up and testing automations that save colleagues time and help them work smarter
• Brainstorming with the AI team about which organisational challenges are best solved through AI
• Turning ideas into working prototypes, refining them based on feedback and taking them live
• Contributing to DevOps: from idea to production, ensuring solutions are actually put to use

• HBO level of thinking and working, in a field such as computer science, software development, data science or comparable
• A genuine affinity with AI and the drive to build with it every day, not just experiment with it
• Basic knowledge of programming, or the eagerness to acquire that knowledge quickly
• Eager to learn, curious and sharp enough to pick up new tools and techniques at speed
• A team player with a sense of ownership: you take something on and make sure it gets done
• Available full-time and present at our office in Wognum
• Extensive work experience is not required, but drive and a genuine interest in AI are
