As an AI Developer Trainee, you will be trained within our AI team in Wognum. This is not an entry-level job where you get thrown in at the deep end and left to figure things out alone. You work on real projects, build AI solutions that move the entire Hero organisation forward, and learn from people who work with the latest tools every day. Claude Code, Cursor, agents, automations. And if something better exists tomorrow, you will be working with that too.

• Contribute to AI applications that accelerate Hero's processes, from recruitment to marketing to contracts
• Build AI solutions using modern tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and similar AI-native development environments
• Set up and test automations that save colleagues time and enable smarter ways of working
• Exchange ideas with the AI team about which organisational challenges are best solved through AI
• Turn ideas into working prototypes, refine them based on feedback and bring them live
• Contribute to DevOps: from concept to production, ensuring solutions are actually put to use

• HBO working and thinking level, with a background in computer science, software development, data science or similar
• A genuine affinity with AI and the drive to build with it every day, not just experiment
• Basic programming knowledge, or a clear willingness to acquire it quickly
• Eager to learn, curious and sharp enough to pick up new tools and techniques at pace
• A team player with a sense of ownership: you take something on and make sure it gets done
• Available full-time and present at our office in Wognum
• No extensive work experience required, but drive and a concrete interest in AI are a must
