Quarterly sports session

  • 12/06/2023

Once every three months, we at Hero organise the well-known quarterly session, as we did last Thursday. During these sessions, we update each other on all the ambitious plans, ideas, results and developments. The quarterly session is an important part of the so-called “Heartbeat of Hero”, a consultation structure designed to keep each other and yourself sharp. The Heartbeat of Hero consists of the weekly team meeting, the daily stand-up, active reporting to your environment and the entire company, weekly evaluation with your manager, quarterly sessions and the monthly stand-up.

Preferably, we organise our quarterly sessions at special, impressive locations where we then often get a guided tour. This time, that choice was an obvious one ... AZ's stadium! Indeed, since this year, Hero also has an office (and what an office!) in Alkmaar and we are also the proud owners of a skybox of this beautiful club. So being a guest there now for our quarterly session felt like winning the treble🏆.

Led by Wouter de Vries, several colleagues were interviewed about developments, results and ambitious plans. From Finance to Recruitment, from Contract Management to Marketing and from Sales to IT, everything was discussed. The programme was concluded by Jeroen de Vries, after which everyone could enjoy the buffet, looking out over the field.

It was another very successful event. We thank AZ for the warm welcome at the AFAS Stadium, the nice tour (thanks to Ted Rood and Tom Pruim), good catering and the fantastic view. We will be paying many more visits to AZ, together with relations and employees. That's for sure!
